Everett was born on February 27, 1928, in Elkton, VA, and was the son of the late Emmett and Florence Watson Hensley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn V. Hensley. Living their life in Keezletown, VA, Everett and Carolyn raised four children; Eddy L. Hensley of Luray, Darlene H. Quackenbush of Harrisonburg, Ora H. Huffman of Harrisonburg, and Sheila A. Hensley of Woodbridge, and seven grandchildren.
Surviving are two sisters Zelda Gibson of Staunton and Maxine Shreckhise of Weyers Cave and one brother, Mensel L. Hensley of Penn Laird.
He was preceded in death by parents, Emmett and Florence Watson Hensley; brothers, Lonnie, Otis, Sherley, Norman, Kenneth and Larry; sisters, Myrtle, Mildred, Roslin, and Jeroline.
Everett worked as an electrical lineman and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 70. He was an avid collector and loved his family, friends and music.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Graveside services will be private.
