Larkin J. Grinestaff
Larkin J. Grinestaff, 75, of 14 E. Third St., Danville, died at 4 p.m., Monday, Nov. 16, 1981, at Lakeview Medical Center in Danville, where he had been a patient since Oct. 28. He retired from the Danville City Streets Department in 1972. He operated the Gulf Service Station at Fairchild and Gilbert Streets for many years.
Born April 20, 1906, he was the son of Harriet Kidwell and John Grinestaff. He was married to Gladys Bostwick on April 2, 1927, in Paris, Ill.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Watson, Danville; two sons, Joh of Danville and George of Oakwood; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Baxter of Hoopeston; Mrs. Arlene Roberts of Danville and Ruby Zorns of Champaign.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys in September, 1980; one grandson, three sisters and three brothers.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at Barrick and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Bostwick officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park.
