ADA - Wilbur W. Wingate, 89, died at 10 a.m. Sunday at his residence.
Born Dec. 17, 1877, in Ada, he was a son of Dustin and Ella McElroy Wingate. He married Gertrude Wilcox in 1901, and she preceded him in death.
Surviving are a brother, D. S. Wingate of North Baltimore, and six sisters, Mrs. Edward (Flo) Dilts and Mrs. Henry (Clara) Kurdts, both of Ada, Mrs. Elva Laremore of Cambridge, Ind., Mrs. Alice Clingler of Findlay, Mrs. Ruth Oyler of Crystal River, Fla., and Mrs. Eva Castle of Houston, Tex.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Preston Funeral Home with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Elford Hoff will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home.
