Fond du Lac Reporter, May 21, 1969, p. 16. Richard Sippel, 62, Route 4, died at his home at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday. He was born April 27, 1907, at Mt. Calvary, the son of Frank and Anna Hurst (sic: Hoerth) Sippel. He married Shirley Cox Oct. 3, 1936, in Chicago. Mr. Sippel was a beautician and hair stylist before retiring in July 1968. He formerly lived in Highland Park, Ill., and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Sippel is survived by his wife; one son, Lt. (j.g.) Lee Sippel; three brothers, August of Marytown, Fred of Eden and Ernest, Route 1; four sisters, Mrs. Orville Stubbe, Wales; Mrs. Lyle Coleman, Mt. Calvary; Mrs. Harold Sabel, Malone; and Mrs. Mike Koenigs, St. Cloud; and his mother, Mrs. Anna Karls, Mt. Calvary. He was preceded in death by his father and a son. The body will be in state at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday. Services will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Rev. Claude T. O'Brien officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Funeral services for Richard Sippel, who died Tuesday, were held at 9:30 a.m. Today at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church, the Rev. Donald Elverman officiating. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Sippel, Stanley Sippel, Harold Sabel, Robert Koenigs, Thomas Koenigs and Michael Pauly. Honorary pallbearers were Karl Goebel, Emil Konen, Joseph Schneider, Stephen McNamara, Edward Lingenfelter and Oscar Braun, all members of the Knights of Columbus.
