Of Palm Desert, Calif. passed away April 12, 2010 in Rancho Mirage, Calif. She was born May 24, 1900 to Habib and Delbar Asadie in Iran. She married Mokhtar Babai at the age of twelve in 1912 in Iran. She was a homemaker. Souna made history by being the oldest woman to receive USA Citizenship at the age of 106. She is survived by sons, Ebrahim, Eddie and Antoine; daughters, Alieh Abaii, Malieh Abadian, and Kobra Abaii; twelve grand- children; and eight great-grandchildren.

Interment to follow at Desert View Cathedral City Mausoleum.
