Believed to be the son of Temperance Wright* and John Shaw.

I say "believed" because some descendants of this line think Andrew's mother was Elizabeth Wasson. More research is necessary.

*Temperance Wright was the daughter of John Wright and Jemima Hendon of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.

Andrew Shaw married Sarah Greenland in Huntingdon County, PA on 9 Aug 1818.
