Isham and Mary Jane BOND had eight children. They were: Melviny (Melvenia) Bond Slade, William Bargel Bond, Albert Brown Bond, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bond, Jefferson Davis "Dave" Bond, Martha Jane Bond McMellon, Payton I. Bond, and Walter Bond. Melvenia married Seaborne Slade in about 1868.
In 1880, the Isham Bond and Mary Jane Bond family, with their four youngest children (Davis, Martha, Payton and Walter) were living at Holleday Creek, Covington County, on a farm, near the James Madison Holcomb family. Albert Bond married Laura Holcomb and Dave married Mary Caroline Holcomb.
