OBITUARY: Christopher Tilman Lusk (1891-1922)
CHRISTOPHER TILMAN LUSK. On Sunday, January 15, 1922, at 1:30 o'clock, the Lord sent the Death Angel to Christopher Tilman Lusk and carried him home. He was a victim of cancer of the stomach and notwithstanding the great suffering, he bore it patiently until to the last. His age was 30 years, 11 months and 15 days. He was a brave soldier of the Lord, a kind son, a devoted husband and father. He leaves a wife and five children, besides his father, mother, seven brothers and two sisters to mourn his departure. Truly a good man has gone to his reward. He is gone, his voice is stilled, a place is vacant in our homes and hearts that no human can fill. But we bow in submission to the Lord, knowing He knows best. Broad is the road that leads to death and thousands walk together there, but wisdom shows a narrow path with here and there a traveler. Deny thyself and take thy cross is thy great Redeemer's command.
