Funeral services for George P. Anschuetz, 62, of Cedarburg former resident of the town of Grafton, were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg, the Rev. C. Becker officiating at the last rites. Interment was made at Zur Ruhe cemetery, with military services at the grave by members of Rose-Harms Post, American Legion of Grafton.
Anschuetz was born in the town of Grafton on March 10, 1892, and on Jan. 28, 1919, was married to Louise Krohn at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedarburg. They operated a farm in the town of Grafton until eight years ago when they retired to Cedarburg where he was employed at Kiekhaefer Corp.
He died Wednesday, Jan. 12, of a heart attack in the Cedarburg ambulance while en route to St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington.
Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Lester (Anna) Hardt, town of Jackson; Mrs. Roman (Lucille) Matter of Cedarburg, and Mrs. Alex (Erna) Beimborn of Port Washington; one brother, Henry of Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. Edwin Krueger of Cedarburg; also six grandchildren.
