Teresa ( Fike ) Garcia passed away Dec. 27, 2004 from ovarian cancer.
Preceded in death by parents, Lester & Teresa Fike ; and brother, Paul.
Survived by beloved husband, Eloy; children, Angela, Peter (Melissa), Alicia, and Michael (Celine); grandchildren, Rainey & Teresa; siblings, Tony (Jill), Mary Lita & Mari Haddox, Rita (Walter) Schmidt, Collette (Bruce) Lee, and Doris (Doyle) Carlblom;
Numerous nephews & nieces.
Teresa was born in Willmar, MN April 9, 1941.
She was a Villa Maria Academy & College of St. Catherine graduate. She taught grade school, owned a used book store & wrote a column for a local newspaper. She was most proud of work as an instructor at Lino Lakes Correctional Facility for 10 years.
Upon retiring, Teresa enjoyed reading, traveling & playing with grandchildren. She was active in MOCA, belonging to two support groups.
Family wishes to thank Dr. Savage, NP S. McIntyre, Dr. G. Smith, NP D. Schweizer & staff, United Hospital staff and MOCA for their kindness & support. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, Jan. 4 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Lino Lakes, 171 Elm St. (651-784-3015). Visitation 6-8 PM Monday evening and one hour prior to Mass Tuesday, both in Church.
