Mrs. Emma Adams, 81, former Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Royal Oak Cove Hospital, Hollywood, Calif.
Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Harold Berryman and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Adams, nee Emma Kotarik, was born May 15, 1902, in Poland, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kotarik. Mrs. Adams immigrated to this country as a young girl, settling at Manitowoc. She married Louie Adams in 1922 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Adams was a member of Gold Star Mothers.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Bernice Adams and a grandson, Scot, all of Hollywood; three sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Angie and Nester DeBauche and Bernice and Donald Bloom of Manitowoc and Arlene and Stanley Adamski of Two Rivers and 11 nieces and nephew. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by a son, Paul, who was killed in action on March 2, 1945, on the island of Iwo Jima.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday where a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m.
