Additional information from FAG Contributor # 47127919:
Ora is the daughter of Everette Alonza Riggs and Caroline (Watson) Riggs.

She was the Sister of Alonza Deene Riggs.

After their mother Caroline passing, she was brought up by the Watson family. Her father remarried a couple of years later but did not bring his children back into his household.

We believe that she was married previously in Jones County, NC to a James Eubanks and they had a son William McDaniel Eubanks (8 March 1886 - 27 June 1910).

William died in Rocky Mount and was the first one buried in the Peel(e) family plot which was purchased by Ora in 1910.We also found that William was married at one time even though his Death Certificate and the census indicate that he was single.

Ora married John L. Peele on 17 June 1914 in Rocky Mount.

I received an "EDIT" for Ora Peele to change the date of birth from Oct. 16, 1872 to Oct. 16, 1867. May I ask "what is your source".

Contributor # 47717869 Response:
Thank you for asking. My grandmother was her younger sister and was born on March 30, 1869. My grandmother lived into her nineties and said as much. Furthermore the 1870 census says so. Everette L. Riggs and Caroline Watson were married on Jan 20, 1867. They had three children: Ora Caroline, 1867; Emma Jane, 1869; and Alonza Dean, 1873. At the birth of the last child, the mother died. The children were put with other members of the family on the mother side. Ora and Emma were taken by two different aunts. I think the tombstone is in error. The people putting it there didn't know the year of her birth or for that matter she may not have either.
