Kathryn Russell, 90, passed peacefully into the arms of her loving Savior on Monday, October 4, 2010.
She was a resident of Greenwood and former resident of Indianapolis.
She was born on September 4, 1920, in Letts, Indiana to John and Keize (Davis) Fromer.
She retired from Methodist Hospital in 1985 where she was employed as a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. She was one of only two people in the state of Indiana who achieved this position by passing the licensure exam when the law to license assistants was initially established. She was a member of Southport Heights Christian Church.
She enjoyed needlework, reading and Christian music.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Don) Gandolf, Carolyn (Robert) Morris; one brother, Charles Fromer; five grandchildren, Erin (Keith) Johnson, Kylie (David) Veleta, Jonathan Gandolf, Traci (Ryan) Harden and Cara (Keith) Dyer; 11 great grandchildren, Kennedy, Grant and Jackson Harden, Jordan Morris, Chandler, Madison and Zane Dyer, Zayda and Garrett Johnson, Andra and Alec Veleta and beloved friend, Shirley Arnholt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Floyd Naab and Bill Russell; and two brothers and two sisters.
A Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 South State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road, with calling there from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Private interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
