Daughter of Leazer (Louis and Gussie /Gittle) Baumwoll.
Sally's (Sarah Birth name) mother Gussie died of TB in 1916 and she with her 6 year old brother Hyman (Harold) were sent first to the German Odd Fellows orphanage then to the Hebrew Sheltering Arms Guardian Society in Pleasentville, New York. They remained there until 1926 when they returned to a very crowded tenement apartment. Her father was a tailor.
Sarah is mourned by her sons David and Danny and many grand children.
