JOSEPH OMAN
Joseph Oman of St. Stephen died in the Abbot Hospital of Minneapolis on Thursday at 11:45 p.m. He was 64 years old, born in Brockway Township on Feb 22, 1880. Mrs. Oman had lived in St. Stephen all his life.
He is survived by Mrs. Oman and the following children: Victor of St. Stephen, Sgt. Adolph C. Oman located in New Guinea with the army quartermaster division; Mrs. Leander Thiesen of LeSauk, Pfc. Frank J. Oman, somewhere in England; and Joseph Jr. at home. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Mary Oman of St. Stephen and the following sisters: Mrs. Mary Kozel, Mrs. James Justin of St. Stephen, Mrs. Balbina Bayuk of Willard, WI; Mrs. William Huls of St. Wendel, Mrs. Anton Justin, Mrs. A.C. Schuneman of St. Stephen; one brother, Anton Oman of St. Stephen.
Mr. Oman was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and the St. Stephen Society.
The body will be at home in St. Stephen this afternoon.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen with Rev. John Trobec officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephen.
