Together Elisha and Sarah had 9 children: Rachel, Martha, Eliza, Elisha, Elijah, Julia, Sarah, Solomon and Daniel.
When their son Elijah died in 1830 (at age 4) he was buried here. His was probably the first interment in what became known as the Wallis Hill Cemetery, although his grave is unmarked.
When his wife, Sarah, died in 1841, Elisha marked off land for the family cemetery. Elisha was buried here upon his death in 1846.
There are approximately 25 known graves in the Wallis Hill Cemetery, many of them unmarked.
