MRS. C. C. KEELER DIES
Mrs. Charles C. Keeler, long-time resident of Emporia, died Friday evening in Wichita, where she had been since August, 1973. Mrs. Keeler and her family lived for many years at 133 South Walnut near Riverside Gardens which Mr. Keeler managed before his death. She had lived with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Price, 418 State Street, for seven years before moving to Wichita.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. They will be conducted by the Rev. J. Joyce Wilson, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Keeler was the former Emily Widby, daughter of Lawson and Laura Northington Widby. She was born Sept. 9th, 1884, in Emporia, and she was married on Aug. 6th, 1908, in Emporia. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Sept. 5th, 1940, and by three sons--Clinton, who died in 1961, and two who died in infancy--and by one brother, Will Widby, and three grandsons. She is survived by two sons, Warren W., of Bellevue, Neb., and Frank M., of Tacoma, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. L. H. (Josephine) Tomlinson, Caldwell, Tex.; Mrs. Carl (Mary Emily) Modine, Hemstead, Tex., and Mrs. A. J. (Virginia) Moody, Wichita; one sister, Mrs. Loula Spencer, Newell, Iowa, 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
