Mr. Wilhite died Saturday in a Clovis , N.M., hospital. Mr. Wilhite was a former Canton resident who left Texas in 1951. He was a member of a Church of Christ in Firewell. Mr. Wilhite was a farmer and farm equipment dealer and a former rancher.

He married Agnes Marie Ritter on Dec 22, 1950 in Dallas, TX. They moved to Truth or Consequences, New Mexico and later divorced.

On Oct. 11, 1972, at the age of 62, Odus married Josephina L Morales, who was 26, in El Paso, TX. They lived in Texico, NM and had three children together.

Survivors include two Sons, Odus Joe Wilhite, Wills Point, and Walter Wilhite, Texaco, N.M.; three daughters, Joy Inez Grozier, El Paso, Mary Wilhite and Angel Wilhite, both Texaco, N.M.; three brothers, Willie Wilhite and Hardin Wilhite, both of Canton; and Joe Wilhite, Clovis, N.M.; seven sisters, Alta Houston,' Fresno, Calif., Avis Hooker, Wrightwood, CA, Ila Lett, Riverside, Calif., Lois Keehart, Cilmas Springs, Mo., Opal Cross, Canton, Estell Landess LaMesa, Calif., and Beatrice Thompson, Lake Havasu City, Arizona; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jerry D. Sullivan, Donald Wilhite, Ricky Grozier, Eugene Wilhite, Tommy Roberts, Jimmy Mintz and Ronnie Mintz.

Whitley Odus Wilhite, Texaco, NM were scheduled for Tuesday in Eubank Funeral Home chapel, Canton, with H.D. Smith and Richard Grozier officiating.
