My grandpa, Oscar Lee Rogers, was born to parents Basil Alexander & Sarah Isabelle Gilmore Rogers. He rode the range with Wells Fargo in their later days in California and Nevada. He was sheriff in Eagleville, California. He was deputy sheriff for many years in Harrison, Arkansas, serving with his cousin who was sheriff. He served as court bailiff in Harrison for decades before his death. He was a well loved and respected member of the community. He married his one true love Eva Iona Pate on July 2, 1922 in Harrison, Boone County, Arkansas. He and Eva only had one child, Iona Lee Rogers Harrison.
