MONAS HAZEN
Monas Hazen, who had been ill for several weeks, died on Thursday afternoon, July 17th, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. William Heemstra, on Highwood Avenue. For many years, Mr. Hazen had been janitor of the Christian Reformed Church on Godwin Avenue. Had Mr. Hazen lived until Saturday he would have been seventy-four years old.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from his daughter's home and at 2 o'clock from the Christian Reformed Church which was crowded with friends and relatives, Mr. Hazen being very well-known in the Borough.
The Rev. J. B. Hoekstra and the Rev. R. L. Haan officiated at the services. Interment was made at Valleau Cemetery. J. H. Olthuis had charge of the funeral arrangements.
