Jean graduated from Tecumseh, NE. High School in 1939. She married James W. Kincaid on Mar. 4, 1944 in Lincoln, NE. Jim died June 23, 2001.
Jean worked as a clerk and deputy city treasurer for the City of Winchester from 1960 to 1987. She was a member of the Braddock Street United Methodist Church in Winchester.
She died at the age of 85 years in Centera Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA.
Survivors were her daughter, Nancy E. Kincaid of Clifton Heights, PA. 2 brothers, John Aitken and his wife, Wauna of Tecumseh and James Aitken and wife, Pat, of McPherson, KS. 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her son, James W. Kincaid, Jr. and 3 sisters, Hildreth DeBoer, Helen Cook and Joan Piersol and a brother, Thomas Aitken.
Funeral services held July 29, 2008 at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Rev. Thomas Kincaid officiating. Burial was in the Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, VA.
