David Church - KINGSPORT

David Allen Church, 58, of Kingsport, passed away on June 20, 2010, at his residence. Born in Elizabethton, TN, he was the son of the late Dean Allen Church and Marie Bare Church.

He was a member of Martindale Baptist Church. David was an exceptional, loving, caring father and grandfather. He was an avid sports fan, especially football and basketball, which he loved to coach. David was a sports announcer on local radio for area high school football and basketball games.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Holly Proffitt.

He is survived by his wife of twenty one years, Lisa Church; daughters: Jaime Dmytruk and husband Kirt; sons: Aaron Proffitt and Brandon Church; brother: Randy Church and wife Donna; granddaughter: Holly Brooklyn Dmytruk; grandson: Carson Dmytruk; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services with Reverend Delbert Storie officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until service time. A Committal service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in the mausoleum chapel of Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Paul Overbay, Don Helman, David Dowell, Dave Hogan, Larry Harris, Mike Patterson, Rick Jessie, Robin Coggins, Logan Williams. Everyone is asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:15 AM to go in procession to the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Crumley House Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center, 300 Urbana Rd, Limestone, TN 37681.
