Waldo was born on Friday, January 8, 1926 in Adams County, Indiana the son of the late Martin Conrad and the late Frieda (Bauermeister) Conrad. His first wife, was Aldine Meyer, married on June 5, 1948 in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church-Ossian, and she passed away on November 20, 1979. His second wife, was Doris (Buuck) Walther, married on February 24, 1990 in the Holy Cross Lutheran Church-Ft. Wayne, and she survives.
Waldo was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church-Friedheim where he served three times as a trustee. Active in his community, Waldo was also on the Farm Bureau Co-op Board of Directors and also the Farm Bureau Co-op Credit Union Board of Directors. Waldo served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Waldo was a dairy farmer for most of his life.

Wayne, IN; brother, Marvin (Laurina) Conrad of Decatur, IN; step-son, Thomas (Beverly) Walther of Nakoosa, WI; step-daughter, Deborah (Mel) Tucker of Columbia City, IN; step-son, John (Nancy) Walther of Wheaton, IL; step-son, Mark (Tammy) Walther of Hampshire, IL; step-daughter, Judy (Mike) Camiliere of Sugar Grove, IL; step-daughter, Christine (John) Monnin of Cleveland, OH; step-daughter, Gretchen (Pastor Bernie) Huesmann of Grafton, WI; step-daughter, Sara (Chad) Hall of Fort Knox, KY; 11 Grandchildren, 27 Step-Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 23 Step-Great-Grandchildren.
Preceding Waldo in death were 1 daughter, Darlene Conrad; 1 brother, Adelbert Conrad; 1 sister, Waneta Franz.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedheim with Rev. Daniel Dahling officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Friedheim.
Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
