Mary Florence Jett, 81, 1204 W. 15th St., died Thursday evening in Ball Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
She was a native of Portsmouth, Ohio. She retired in 1970 from Butterfield Canning Co. after 40 years service. Mrs. Jett attended Southside Church of The Nazarene.
Surviving are a son, Charles Jett, Muncie; a daughter, Evelyn Berg, Muncie; a brother, Clarence Pollard, Springfield, Ohio; a sister, Louvinda Dixon, Fremont, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel with Pastor Lane Fairchild officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie. Callien hours are 2-4 p.m. Sunday and before services Monday at the mortuary.
