Anderson Winship, 95, Broken Bow, died Sunday (June 25, 2000) at McCurtain Memorial Hospital at Idabel. He was born Dec. 25, 1904, the son of Isaac and Ennitte Winship. Born in Indian Territory,

Winship was an original enrollee of the Choctaw Nation. He was a member of Tohwah United Methodist Church, enjoyed dishing, hunting, and had lived in this area most of his life.

He was preceded in death by nine brothers, two sisters, one grandson, two granddaughters, two sons, one daughter and one step-daughter.

He is survived by four sons; seven daughters; three brothers; two sisters; 32 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were at 10 a.m. today (June 28, 2000) at Tohwah United Methodist Church, Oak Hill, with Rev. Harvey Williams officiating.

Burial followed in Tohwahli Cemetery. Brumley-McCurtain Funeral Home, Broken Bow, was in charge of arrangements.
