Macomb-Margaret "Peggy" Van Etten, 80 of Macomb, passed away at 3:15 AM Sunday September 26, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born May 4, 1930 in Macomb to Lawrence and Ruby DeCamp Gamage; she married L. Rae Van Etten on April 25, 1950 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister Mary Luan Clark. Surviving are 1 son; Rick R. Van Etten of Des Moines, Iowa, 1 brother Larry Gamage of Ft. Worth, Texas and 1 sister; Lana Myers of Macomb, Illinois. She worked for several insurance companies while she was living in the Chicago area. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Macomb. Services will be at 11:30 AM Thursday September 30, 2010 at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home, where visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Rev. Steven Workman will officiate.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Macomb Beautiful.
