Zella Green traced her ancestry back to Nathaniel Green, he was an officer with George Washington.
Her father was George Brittain Green, born June 1832 in Cumberland Gap, Virginia.
Died 1910. He married Cecelia Diggins, born about 1845 died in 1920.
Cecelia's parents were of Portuguese and Castillian Spanish descent. Her father, Alonzo Diggins ancestor's came over on the Mayflower in 1620.
They married in Kentucky in 1865, they had six children: Zella, Orrie, Isis, Celia, Amos, and CC Green.
Her parents are buried in the same grave in San Antonio, Texas.
Zella and Dr. McAdon married and had 3 children together: 1. Elsie Gwendolyn McAdon Vogt
2. Johnwelsh Green McAdon
3. Lilly Lola McAdon Walton.
Zella and Dr. Llewellyn McAdon later divorced and she married widower, Clyde J. Parrish in 1920. Zella and her three children moved to Palmetto, Florida to live in the Parrish home with Clyde and his three motherless daughters.
Zella was a talented lady, she played and taught piano lessons in their home.
Zella and her husband Clyde Parrish welcomed travelers to their property. After so many tourists were coming they founded the first Tin-Can Tourist Camp in Palmetto, Fla. It is still a mobile home park today and their home is the office and recreation center for the park.
The Parrish Home was dedicated by their many family and friends and the Palmetto City officials, Palmetto, Fla., on March 20, 2004.
