R. K. Mullikin
R. K. Mullikin, aged 78, a retired farmer and long time resident of
Lincoln County, died at his home near Star City yesterday at 3 p.m.,
after a lingering illness.
Mr. Mullikin was born in Mississippi October 16, 1869, son of Mr.
and Mrs. E. A. Mullikin, natives of Mississippi.
He attended public schools in Mississippi, moving to Arkansas 60
years ago from Texas to make his home at Star City where he has resided
since. He was a member of the Lone Grove Baptist Church.
Other than his widow, the former Miss Belle Monk, to whom he was
married in 1911 at Star City, he leaves five sons, Arthur Mullikin of
Pine Bluff, R. K. Mullikin, and Jake Mullikin of Pine Bluff; Buck
Mullikin of East St. Louis, Ill., and Gus Mullikin of Star City, and
four daughters, Mrs. Charles Riley of Pine Bluff, Mrs. Lewis Hall of
Pine Bluff, Mrs. Dennis Scifres of Star City, and Mrs. Grace Newman of
Pine Bluff.
Graveside funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two
o'clock, conducted by Rev. Frank Glover, Baptist Minister at Glendale.
Active pallbearers will be Roy Tucker, Weslie Harper, Ernest Harper,
Herman Bridges, Dock Raley, and Clarence Moran. Honorary pallbearers
will be Virge Raley, Joe Harper, R. L. Fish, W. E. Davis, Elex Petty and
Arthur Case.
Burial will be in Heflin Cemetery in charge of the South Funeral
Home.
