Eugene's wife preceded him in death seven years prior, according to his obit. MArried to Christine. He had lived in Grantsburg for 35 years. Cause of death was a Pulmonary Embolism. He had a nick name of "Pike"
Eugene was the son with the nickname of "Pike", in reading the story about the murder trial of his mother in 1907-08, this son may have been invloved in the death of his father. He had disappeared during the trial, the state had him return to testify in the closing days of the trial.
Of interesting note is that he left to live in Wisconsin,& in March & Oct of 1916 his mother Theresa bought two pieces of property in Grantsburg from an Anton Blom for $2500 & Ove Flaenas for $2200 . This was after Theresa inherited $24,000 from her sisters estate, which was finally settled in Jan 1916. Eugene lived here until his death in 1952. He had no children.
