Hobert Blackshear was the son of Samuel William Blackshear and Minerva Dewitt. Hobert was born in Lamasco, Texas. Other Sam Blackshear children were born in Texas and Oklahoma. Hobert married Myrtle Bonds Sep 1930. They had children Marie and Leveta Blackshear. Several children were born in Texas and Oklahoma but prior to 1919 Sam and Minerva and family had returned to the Alicia, Arkansas. Beginning with his daughter, Alta Belle, the remaining nine children were born in or near Alicia, Knobel,and Peach Orchard, Arkansas.
