   J. W. Crockett, Father Of Three Policemen, Dies

John W. Crockett, 79-year-old father of three Charleston policemen, died yesterday in St. Francis Hospital after a year's illness.

A native of Kentucky, he was a car dealer before his retirement. His wife, Virginia, died June 9. He was a resident of 206 Campbells Creek Drive.

He was the father of Sgt. E. D. and Sgt. J. C. Crockett and Patrolman Ray Crockett of the Charleston Police Department.

Also surviving: sons, John Jr. of Charleston, Howard of
Cambpells Creek; daughters, Mrs. Ed Burgess of Charleston, Mrs. Theodore Belcher of Conneaut, Ohio; brother, Gratton of Marion, Ohio; sisters, Mrs. Hazel Timmons of Marion, Ohio, Mrs. Grace Mozzia of Ypsilanti, Mich.; 15 grandchildren.

The body is at Cunningham Funeral Home.
