Ruth B. Caswell, 82, of Rutland and formerly of South Royalton, died Sept. 15, 2010.

She was born Aug. 2, 1928, in Woodsville, N.H., the daughter of William A. Bowley and Ella May Judd, and was raised in Wells River.

She married Matthew C. Caswell Dec. 17, 1945, in South Royalton. Mr. Caswell died in 1993.

Mrs. Caswell attended the Rutland congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, where she enjoyed her study of the Bible.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Hunt of Pittsfield, and a son, William Caswell of South Royalton; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; two sisters, Marion Ballou of South Royalton and May Foligno of New Britain, Conn.; a brother, Raymond Bowley of Plainsville, Conn.; nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Gleason Road in Rutland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rutland Kingdom Hall, in care of Carl Delnegro, PO Box 194, Bridgewater Corners, VT 05035.
