Mrs. Bracher was born May 15, 1923, in Pilot Rock, to Walter and Agnes Scroggin Casteel. She graduated from Pilot Rock High School in 1941 and attended the University of Oregon.
She married John Charles Bracher on Oct. 16, 1948.
Mrs. Bracher was a member of the Catholic Church.
She was an avid reader.
Mrs. Bracher was preceded in death by her husband; daughter Kerry Ulrich; and brother Scott Casteel.
She is survived by daughter Gretchen Bracher of Philomath; son Chuck Bracher of Pilot Rock; sister Karen Stanton of Pilot Rock; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
