Comfort came with his wife, Mary, and six children Ebenezer, Davis, Comfort III, Mary, Hannah, and Almira to Newport from Seekonk, MA (now East Providence, RI) in 1801. James Peck was born in Newport in 1803. His fifty-acre farm is now part of Newport Golf Club, the site of Honey Hills Golf Course Cemetery. His lineage is Comfort Sr., Nathaniel III, Nathaniel Jr., Nathaniel Sr., Joseph Peck Sr. (the emigrant ancestor who came from Hingham, England in 1638.)

The following is thanks to John E. Sherman #47749330. He was born October 17, 1760 at Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts, his daughters' names are Mary Davis Peck, Hannah Barney Peck and Almira Saunders Peck. Comfort and Mary Saunders were married September 18, 1785 at Rehoboth, Bristol County, Mass. and his parents are Comfort Peck Sr. #30782001 and Hannah Barney Peck #32723318. According to the headstone, Hannah died in 1762 - she would have been alive when Comfort Jr. was born. He is my 4th great-grandfather. Thank you.
