HARVEY L. CRUMM, SR., age 89, of Alvin, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Autumn Grove Cottage, Pearland, Texas. Harvey was born on October 26, 1920 in Minco, Oklahoma and was a resident of Alvin for over 50 years. He was a professional pilot in the oil & gas industry. He served in the Army Air Corps /United States Air Force during World War II. He was a founding member and deacon at Heights Baptist Church, Alvin, Texas. Harvey was preceded in death by his first wife, Leila Alma Eden Crumm; parents, Willie U. and Polly Crumm; and brother, Ivan Lohn Crumm.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Minnie Lee Green Crumm, of Alvin, Texas; daughters, Carol Joyce Crumm Rand and husband, Jimmie of Sweeny, Texas, and Alma Leila Crumm Golden, M.D. and husband, G. Bruce Golden of Temple, Texas; sons, Harvey L. Crumm, Jr., DVM and wife, Dina Witwer Crumm of Brentwood, Tennessee, James Geriet Crumm, DVM and wife, Mary Jane Pastuch Crumm of Alvin, Texas, Dwight Green of Birmingham, Alabama and wife Linda Lee, Gordon A. Green and wife, Debbie of Alvin, Texas, and Malvin O. Green and wife, Donna of Georgetown, Texas; sisters, Eula Fae Crumm Sprowls of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and June Annette Crumm Franklin of Joshua Tree, California; brother, Billy Crumm of Chickasha, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Matthew L. Davis, M.D., Jimmie T. Rand, Jeremy W. Rand, Barbara Leila Davis Sparks, David J. Davis, Justin L. Rand, Daniel C. Davis, Rachel Renee Rand Jordy, Jared B. Crumm, Jennifer Alys Crumm, Joshua W. Crumm, Geriet Harvey Crumm, Julia Mary Anna Crumm, Marina Sivtsova McCreight, Dwayne Green, Jeff Green, Robert Green, Bryan Green, Craig Green, Greg Green, Erin Green Naterman, Brent Green and Mandy Green; 25 great-grandchildren; special friends: Ann Dunnavant, Dick and Laverne Camp, Jacque Vandiver, The Jamie Blackwell Sunday School Class, Bub and Betty Erwin, Becky Ferguson and the wonderful staff at Autumn Grove Cottage, Pearland, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2009 at Heights Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Heights Baptist Church, CR 144 @ CR 145, Alvin, Texas with Rev. Charles Easley officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, Webster, TX 77598.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Heights Baptist Church Building Fund.
