BRECKENRIDGE (RNS) - Lawrence Pike Kelley, 77, of Breckenridge, a retired Texas Co. Employee, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the Veterans Hospital in Dallas after a long illness. Funeral is pending with Satterwhite Funeral Home in Breckenridge.

Born Feb. 23, 1896 in Uvalde, he married Jewell Johnson July 26, 1920, in Eastland. They lived at the Texas Co. Parks Camp south of Breckenridge until 1927 when they moved into Breckenridge. He was employed by the Texas Co. as a truck driver until his retirement in 1964. Mr. Kelley was a World War I veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Elks Lodge. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife; three sons, Samuel Lawrence of Hobbs, N.M., Albert "Jiggs" of Wichita Falls and James Nolan of Abilene; one daughter, Mrs.Helen Lynn Price of Austin; one brother, Lennard of Hollywood, Calif.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
