Lynn Maureen Killingsworth Powers was the youngest daughter in a large family. Her interests were evident from the time she was a teenager. Lynn loved cooking and sewing and she was an expert at both. Her family still has many of her recipes, some handwritten, that we always call: Lynn's Pecan Pie, Lynn's cranberry salad. She sewed a lot when she was in highschool and made big, fluffy crinoline slips for her nieces. In the 50's all the younger girls in the family proudly wore the "poodle skirts" that Lynn had designed and made for them. When it came time to go to college, her choice of a major was a given. She became a Home Economics teacher after attending college at Flagstaff. Lynn was a devoted daughter to her parents, a loving mom to Randy and Jamie, her sons, and a wonderful hostess. She was tall and slender with dark brown hair and lovely green eyes. I'm sure that she has taken over the Pecan Pie and Fried Chicken franchises in Heaven; nobody could ever do it better.
