In the memoirs Captain Stephen P. Huger (d: 25 JAN 1863) is the brother-in-law to General Manigault and the brother of Mary Proctor (Huger) Manigault. Other brother-in-laws to General Manigault are Private Joseph Protctor Huger (d: 13 APR 1864) and Captain Daniel Elliott Huger (d: 20 SEP 1863). All buried in the Magnolia cemetery. To complete the family tree the three brothers to Mary Manigault are the children of Daniel Elliott Huger (1806-1874) and Carolina (Proctor) Huger (1814-1875). All three brothers-in-laws, like General Manigault, served as part of the Confederate Army.
