Funeral services for Una Lee Ware Martin of Gadsden were at Crestwood Chapel. The Revs. Alton Paris and Tom Moge officiated,with burial in Crestwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin was the daughter of the late Ed and Lucy Ware of the Green's Chapel community and Wedowee.

Mrs. Martin took her nurse's training at Forrest General Hospital, which later became Baptist Memorial Hospital, where she became a registered pediatric nurse. She retired in 1978 with more than 30 years of service. Mrs. Martin was a Gold Star Mother and a member of East Gadsden United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Martin, and a son, Lance Cpl. Charles E. Martin.

She is survived by a daughter, Ellen Holcomb; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, E. L. and O. H. Ware of Florida and George Ware of California; three sisters, Bovene Mallory of Prattville, Edyth Hardman of Wedowee and Reba Chesser of Gadsden; a daughter-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law,
grandchildren-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were family members. Honorary pallbearers were the nurses and staff of Northside Health Care, Drs. Cross and Lindblad.
