ALLEN
Keith H. Allen, son of W. W. and Carrie Allen, was born May 26, 1912, on the family farm near Lucas, and departed this life on Sept. 27, 1975 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, at the age of 63 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lois and Edna and his brother, Claude.
While still a youth he joined the Presbyterian Church of Lucas.
On June 12, 1938, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Halls, also of Lucas.
He leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife, Dorothy and two sons, Thomas J. of Baton Rouge, La. and Larry Dean of Canon City, Colo.; one grandson, Charles Thomas, and two granddaughters, Melinda and Candie Sue; also two daughters-in-law, Miki and Paula; two brothers, Glenn of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Roy J. of Lucas, and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
For years he has been traveling selling tire equipment and tire supplies over the state of Iowa, except for a period in which he was District Manager for O.K. Rubber Welders, Denver, Colorado.
He was a member of Paul Revere Lodge A.F. & A. M. Lodge No. 638, in Lucas.
He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Robert W. Rae of Des Moines at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, at the Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
