Died - Near Rimersburg, January 7, 1885, Catherine, wife of Ex-sheriff
Klingensmith, born April 9, 1813 on Brush run, south of Clarion. She was the daughter of Henry Smith. In her infancy she was
baptized by Rev. Webber of Greensburg, who was then on a pastoral tour through this region. In 1841, Mrs. Klingensmith experienced religion and joined the Evangelical Lutheran church, under the labors of Rev. G. F. Ehrenfeld, at Licking church. She
remained faithful to the end of life. Being deprived of attendance at the church of her choice she attended other churches more
convenient, mostly the Methodist. She endeared herself to everyone with whom she became acquainted. Many of the older citizens
of Clarion will remember her agreeable manners. Mr. Klingensmith and family have the sympathy of an extended friendship
in their loss.
