Chico Daily Record, Tuesday Morning, April 2, 1901, pg 1 col 4: Passing of Mrs. Beaumonte. Death entered the home of John Beaumonte last evening, and claimed the young wife and mother, Carrie Jeanette. The immediate cause of death was an abcess.
Mrs. Beaumonte was a native of Colusa County, California, and was aged 27 years, 7 months and 6 days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Parish, well known residents in this locality. Mrs. Parrish died about one and a half years ago. She leaves a husband and three little children – two boys and one girl; also two sisters – Mesdames Nick Wilson and Matt Stauffel – and three brothers. She was a woman of noble sentiments, and esteemed by all acquaintances.
The funeral will take place tomorrow at 2 p.m.

Beaumonte yesterday afternoon was exceptionally large, the Fourth Street Methodist church being utilized to its capacity. An impressive sermon was delivered by Rev. Seneca Jones.
The pall bearers were John C. Daly, J.G. Neubarth, Claude and Wirt Cooper, John Howe and J.D. March.
