Anna was the daughter of James Booth, Jr., Chief Justice, Delaware, from 1841 to his death in 1855, grand-daughter of Hon. James Booth, Sr., Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware from 1799 to 1828, and Secretary of State of Delaware from 1778 to 1797, and grand-daughter of Daniel Rogers, Governor of Delaware from 1797 to 1799.
