OAKLEY - Alta Turnbow Clark Gee, 84, died Saturday Aug. 5, 2000 at her home in Oakley, Utah.
Born Dec. 25, 1915 in Kamas, UT to John Gillenroy Turnbow, Jr. and Hephzibah Alice Woolstenhulme. Married Richard LaVern Clark in Coalville, UT Sept. 3, 1932. He died Sept. 8, 1954. Married Keith Wardell Gee April 16, 1979 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He died Nov. 18, 1992.
A member of the LDS church, Oakley 2nd Ward where she had been a visiting teacher for over 60 years. She was a member of the Sage Bottom Camp of DUP.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Carlos (Jean) Clark, Huntsville, UT, Arla (Dutch) Woolstenhulme, Oakley, UT, Lynn (Nancy) Clark, Bullhead, AZ, Brad Clark, Joplin, MO., Janet (Tim) Atkinson, Kamas, UT; stepchildren, Roland (Beverly) Gee, Beaumont, TX, Randall (Janet) Gee, OH, Kathleen (Don) Gold, Centerville, UT, Marcia (John) Connor, Highland, UT Marilyn ( Rulon) Fronk, CA, Richard Gee, West Jordan, UT, Robert (Debbie) Gee, Slat Lake, UT; sisters, Zina McDonald, Slat Lake City, UT, Blanche Wright, Coalville, UT; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by six brothers; and two sisters.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wed. Aug. 9, in the Kamas LDS Stake Chapel, Marion, UT.
Friends may call at the church 7-9 p.m. Tues. and 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.

LaVern Clark Services Held Saturday
The sudden and unexpected death of LaVern Clark early last Wednesday morning, shocked the entire community of Upton, as well as his many other friends and relatives. Vern with his quite manner and unassuming nature was well liked by all who knew him. He was a good neighbor, attentive husband and exemplary father.
LaVern was born at Pineview on Sept. 3, 1907. It was here that he spent his entire life. He married Alta Turnbow of Kamas. This union was blessed with 5 children. He is survived by his widow, three sons and two daughters, Carlos, Mrs.(Arla) Woolstenhulme, Lynn, Brad Lee and Janet. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Jackie, and three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Amy Potter, Upton; Mrs. Dorothy Kridder and Mrs. Maudell Warburton both of Coalville and Albion Clark of Henefer.
Vern was active in church and community being in the Upton Ward bishopric at the time of his death. He served as president of the Upton MIA prior to his calling in the bishopric as second counselor.
Funeral service was held at Coalville in the stake house on Saturday Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. The program was conducted by Upton Bishop, C. Allen Jones and included vocal duet, "Oh My Father" by Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wright; opening prayer, Edward Powell; sketch of life, Bishop Jones; talk by Elder Ernest Chappell; violin solo, "In The Garden" by Mrs. Doug Simpson; talk by President Eugene Pace; vocal solo, "Beyond The Sunset" by Mrs. Marvell A. Geary; closing prayer by Vern Boyer.
Prayer at home was by Fay Boyer.
Interment was at the Upton cemetery and Elder Edmund Jensen dedicated the grave.
