Esther R. Wilson
Mrs. Esther Ricks Wilson, 56, 1019 Logan ave., died at her residence Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. of causes incident to age.

She was a daughter of early Cache valley pioneers, who settled in Logan in the fall of 1859, before the streets had been surveyed. She was born in a log cabin on the site of the present First Security bank. Oct. 25, 1562, a daughter of Joel and Sarah Fisk Allen Ricks. Her father was treasurer of Cache county many years.

During her early life she resided In Logan and attended First and Fourth ward schools. She later attended the first high school which was held In Lindquist hall.

On Aug. 17, 1888, she was married to Joseph E. Wilson In the Logan Endowment house, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mrs. Wilson came to Salt Lake City In 1912. her husband, former recorder at the Salt Lake temple. died Oct. 23, 1930.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of Bryan L D S ward.

Survivors Include two sons and three daughters, Ellis Ricks Wilson, Centerville; Joel, Esther and Ida Wilson and Mrs. Walter F. Schwaar, Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
