Jessie Bush is the daughter of William Lafayette and Mary Elizabeth (Noblin) Bush. Her father died 26 Sep 1898 and her mother died 17 Mar 1907. By the age of sixteen she was orphaned. She married Jesse Thomas Blackshear in 1908. Her first child, Ervin was born in 1910 in Arkansas; her second child, Alvin Pinkney, was born in 1911 in Oklahoma and died in 1913. Her third child, Everett, was born 1913 in Oklahoma, and her fourth and final child, Edith, was born in 1914 in Alicia, Arkansas. Their travel to and from Oklahoma was by wagon and required multiple nights lodging on the trail. Jessie died in 1915 and is buried at the Clover Bend cemetery at Clover Bend, Arkansas. Jessie is the sister of Ida May (Mae?) Bush; Enid Ester Bush, and Winnie Emaline Jane (Bush) Webb.
