Laveral E. Fowler, 81, of Nampa, died on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at St Alphonsus Hospital in Boise. Laveral was born on September 17, 1923 in Shelley, Idaho. At an early age the Fowler family moved to Woodville, Idaho and farmed. He spent the World War II years in the Hawaiian Islands as an Army Medic. He married Barbara Beus on July 4, 1949. He was employed with Union Pacific from 1942 until 1943 and received a leave of absence for military service until 1946 when he returned from the army to UP's Signal Department. He retired at age 60 in 1983. He was a member of the Nampa 15th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Laveral is survived by his wife, Barbara Beus Fowler, Nampa, 2 sons, Dan Fowler and his wife Deborah, Weiser, Idaho, and Dennis Fowler and his wife, Vanda, Mustang, Oklahoma, Colleen Goss and her husband Garey, Bremen, Georgia, 11 grand children and 13 great grandchildren. His parents, sister and 6 brothers preceded him in death.
