Graveside service for Evelyn I. Timberlake, 80, of 802 14th Avenue SE will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Boling officiating and Brown Service Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be made to First United Methodist Church Choir Fund.

Mrs. Timberlake died Sunday at Decatur General Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Louise Robinson Sunday School Class and the church choir. She was a former president of United Methodist Women and chairman of the Outreach Committee. She taught school at Belle Mina, Priceville, Riverside High School and Decatur High School.

She is survived by two sons, Cecil H. Timberlake Jr. of Piedmont, S.C. and Samuel I. Timberlake of Dadeville; one brother, Philip A. Irwin of Decatur; one sister, Marjorie I. Tucker of Decatur; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
