MRS. LETITIA LOVE DIES IN DENVER, FUNERAL SUNDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Letitia LOVE, widow of the late John E. LOVE, pioneer resident of Steamboat Springs, will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist church here. Burial will be in the Steamboat Springs cemetery beside her husband.

Mrs. LOVE died early Wednesday morning of pneumonia at the Mercy hospital where she had been taken the previous day. She had not been well for some time. For several years she had made her home in Denver with two daughters, Mrs. Margaret McDONALD and Mrs. Clara CAMPBELL. Another daughter, Mrs. Alice HESSLER, and a grandson also survives.

Members of the family will arrive in Steamboat Springs on Saturday morning with the body. Word of Mrs. LOVE's death was phoned to Mrs. Dan RATKOVICH by her sister in Denver, and she was asked by the family to make all preliminary arrangements.

LAID TO REST AT SERVICE HERE

Mrs. Letitia LOVE was laid to rest in the Steamboat Springs cemetery Sunday afternoon following funeral services held in the Methodist church at 2 o'clock. Rev. Cecil P. Simpson delivered the funeral sermon and a quartet composed of Lois Cochran, Ruth Beverly, M. L. Crawford and Sanford Haile, with Mrs. Haile at the organ, sang "He Leadeth Me," "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Abide with Me." Pallbearers were Ward WREN, Claude LEUKENS, Frank MORE, Marshall NAY, Ray MONSON and Elmer KING. Burial was in the Steamboat cemetery beside her husband, who died in 1931.

Letitia MOORES was born in Bowie county, Texas, on August 28, 1865. She came to Colorado in early childhood and in 1884 was united in marriage to John E. LOVE. Five children were born to this marriage, four daughters and one son.

Mr. and Mrs. LOVE and family came to Steamboat Springs in 1869, when there were but few families living here and resided in the town continuously until Mr. LOVE's death in 1931. Mrs. LOVE was a member of the Methodist church since its beginning in Steamboat Springs and took an active part in all its work until she moved to Denver about four years ago. She always retained her membership here.

All of her children survive and are Harry A. LOVE, Tarkio, Missouri; Mrs. Eleanor HAMPTON, Eugene, Oregon; Mrs. Clara CAMPBELL, Mrs. Alice HESSLER and Mrs. Margaret McDONALD, all of Denver. Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
