Maria (Mary) Rodriguez Alsbury, AKA Mary Rodriguez y Alsbury, was the wife of Young Perry Alsbury, 1814-1877, hero in the Texas War for Independence in 1836. She was born about 1832 and died in 1880, three years after her husband, and was buried next to him on their family homestead on Salado Creek outside San Antonio, Texas. A state historical centennial marker was placed on the gravesite of Young Perry Alsbury in 1936 in honor of his service at the Battle of San Jacinto.
